Former Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis lost her bid to replace Republican Chip Roy in the U.S. House representing Texas’ 21st Congressional District. Roy, who first won the 21st District in a tight 2018 race, drew national attention for his open criticism of Anthony Fauci and his early vote against a coronavirus relief package. Davis is known for her 2013 filibuster of an anti-abortion bill in the Texas legislature.
